| I am buried in my bedroom, under fourteen feet of clothes. I could drown in all this clutter, I suppose. But then your standing in my doorway, with your suitcase on your back. It blows my mind when you do things like that.

| Well... It three months later.
I bet you thought I forgot about you Xanga. No such luck! I check in every now and then. But to be honest, nothing new and exciting has happened in my life since July.
However, I am on the internet to spread the love of Jackson Waters currently- so I though I would Shamelessly plug them here too.... Their first single is out !!! Its called Give Us Amazing Grace. It isn't suppose to come out until tomorrow- the 20th. But this radio station here in Nashville has played it all night. We heard it like three times since I got off work at 5. It was the most exciting thing ever. It was most def a "That Thing You Do" moment. I heard it first, so I called David. He got way excited and had to let me go to find the nearest radio. I then called everyone I could in the short 3.5 minutes the song played. I didn't even get to hear it, I was on the phone the whole time. No one was expecting it because it is not suppose to come out until tomorrow. So that made it more exciting. It caught everyone off guard.
Anyways... here is where I am asking for your help. Radio stations around the county have the single. Most wont play it unless enough people request it. I guess they get like 60 new singles a week. They'll only play ones that are asked for- several times. PLEASE have everyone you know call and request it. (Christian Radio Stations- I don't think the others have it ) CALL Several Times... and more than just tomorrow!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!
Thanks- I'll try to update sometime within the next three months!!!

| hello.... Its 1 am, and I am laying in a strange bed in a hotel room in Memphis Tn. I am all alone. I also can not sleep. I have been laying here since I got off work around 7. Yet... I am still wide awake. I feel asleep around 8:30, watching the Macys firework special on TV- to be awaken by the fireworks outside. I got up to see them out my window- but I couldn't see them. My room is facing the wrong direction. I guess I should have gone outside to look, someone did because I could here them cheering from my window. Oh well, another lonely 4th of July. Do you know of all the years David and I have been together we have never been together on the 4th of July. Kind of crazy- but true. Except for the first summer, back before my Soph. year in college, I drove over to Siloam to visit him - back when he lived at Dawn Hill... but we ended up falling asleep and slept through the fireworks Siloam does. We later just threw firecrackers on the golf course.... but no fun festivities. I like fun festivities for the 4th. My family always would so something fun on the 4th. I remember when I was young, when we lived by the river we use to have lots of people over, and we would make homemade vanilla ice cream in that old cream and brown colored machine. And the big kids got to go to the river banks to actually see the fireworks getting shot off... I never got to go. I remember Katie getting to go once, and I couldn't- I am pretty sure I threw a fit. I also remember the older people getting on the roof to watch the fireworks too. I didn't get to do that either. But that's ok... I got to play with sparklers and poppers! That satisfied me as a little girl. My sisters called tonight from the river, they were in the same place we went last summer to see the fireworks. Its a pretty great spot. A newer tradition involves fighting traffic to park at my aunts house, and take the back way to the river front. This new tradition also involves singing "I am proud to be an American" at the top of our lungs. They let me in on this one tonight. They called when it was being played and sang to me. Kind of made me feel like I was there... KIND OF. I love the 4th of July. Its my favorite non-religious holiday. I love it for lots of reasons.... and most of those reasons involve great memories of the past summers, celebrating. Its a fun day to spend time with people you love, and relax. Today- I spent the day working, getting take out, eating alone in my room, and then spending the remainder of my night watching TV. What a great memory for the scrapbook... | | |
| I had an interview today at the school I want to teach at!! It was scarry... because I was not sure what to expect. But I think it went good. I liked my answers I gave- i just hope they did.... The principal wasnt there, which made it a little weird. I interviewed with the head of the Social Studies department and another English teacher. They were really nice- I hope they loved me :) I took my portfolio- which I spent a lot of time yesterday updating... but they didnt look at it. :( so I am not sure where to go from here- I guess I wait until the principal gets back in town next week. AHHHHHHH.... there... i just needed to yell a bit. I guess we will just have to wait and see- and continue PRAYING! The school by the way is gorgeous!!!! It was probably the nicest High School I have ever seen. And I so want to work there!!!
I'll keep you posted on any job updates!
| Hello out there Xanga Friends... I forgot about you for a few weeks. And for that, I am truly sorry.
Ok... My nights entry is a request for all of you out there to pray for a job for me.
I emailed this principal at this school I REALLY want to work at, and she emailed me back and told me she did have an opening. This is where I want to teach, and since I first heard about this school I have really more than anything want to teach here. It is such a nice school. They just opened in 2004... So everything is new. But more importantly, I feel like I belong at this school. The principal is really nice, from what I can tell through emails. PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR THIS SCHOOL.... AND FOR ME TO TEACH THERE!!!!!!!
Thats all for now, I will keep you updated. Hopefully there will be an interview soon.
PEACE OUT COIN SLOT....
